A Case of Precentral Cortical Infarction Presenting with Isolated Foot Drop

Abstract
Foot drop is defined as a weak tibialis anterior muscle and usually caused by lower motor neuron disease. Common causes are peroneal neuropathy or lumbosacral radiculopathy. Rarely central nervous system pathology can also cause foot drop. We herein present a case of 75-year-old man with sudden onset of foot drop caused by a small infarction in the medial area of the precentral cortex.
